Entry 8

Through these days’ hard work, I have already found 30 possible sources. The two main databases are Google scholar and the Academic Search Premier. For me, I prefer Google scholar. Because Google scholar has few limits, it is freer to search for information. The troublesome thing is I could not always download the full text because of my low access permission. For some special journals or books, I could only see the first page or abstract. If I want to pick up the 10 most helpful sources, I must browse the whole article. So I think those journals and book, which I could not download, will add more tough tasks to me. My next step is to choose ten most important sources.

You are smart to choose these databases. Very useful. Though perhaps we should review the criteria for selecting articles: I'm not sure limiting topics based on the amount of work they require is a good idea. It is also worth noting that you do not always have to read an entire book: often there are single chapters pertinent to your subject and it is acceptable to read these alone.
